About The Civic League

Formed in late 2005 through a merger of three separate organizations Research Atlanta, the Atlanta Metro Group, and the Regional Leadership Forum. The Civic League aims to address issues of regional significance by developing the knowledge, involvement, voice, and power of citizens throughout the region.

Some leaders take a top-down approach to encouraging regional education and engagement. In contrast, The Civic League begins with the community and channels change up to the policymaker. By empowering, educating, and representing citizens, The Civic League serves as the vital third leg of the proverbial "three-legged stool" that business, government, and the citizens of a region represent. To effectively make the Atlanta region a better place, business and civic leaders, policymakers, and concerned citizens from every sector must verbalize their expectations and needs. The Civic League engages residents throughout the region, representing diverse demographics, economics, backgrounds, perspectives, and needs, in the development of broad-based solutions.
