 Transportation Forbes.com ranked Atlanta as the worst region for transportation in America. Transportation and congestion are now at crisis levels in our region. The Get Georgia Moving Coalition led the way to form a bi-partisan transportation plan, which was fair to both the Atlanta region and other parts of Georgia. It failed. Six state Senators from the Atlanta region voted no. Mission number one for The Civic League is to partner with those state Legislators from the Atlanta region and educate them on the need to support a comprehensive transportation plan in the 2009 General Assembly Session. |
