| Coming up July 27: Civic League, ARC look to south metro residents for help planning sustainable region |
This month The Civic League heads to south metro Atlanta for the second Plan 2040 Neighborhood Forum on Tuesday, July 27, at the Henry County Chamber of Commerce (1709 Highway 20 West, McDonough, GA 30253). The forum begins at 6:45 p.m. and will end by 9:00 p.m. Participation in the Neighborhood Forum is free though space is limited, so The Civic League asks that participants register online or call (404) 413-0331 by July 23.Who should attend the Neighborhood Forum? Neighborhood Forums are for everyone with an interest in how the region works - whether that interest is narrowly focused on improving one's daily commute or more broadly encompasses concerns like infrastructure investments, housing and land use, and conservation and sustainability. Expertise is not important. In fact, Neighborhood Forums are designed specifically to capture the opinions and ideas of the non-experts who will be most affected by Plan 2040 -- everyday people who live in the Atlanta region. All Civic League Neighborhood Forums are open to all residents of the Atlanta region. The July 27 forum is located especially for the convenience of those who live and work in Henry, Clayton, Fayette, Newton, Rockdale and Spalding counties. |
