The Civic League for Regional Atlanta

Their ideas were recorded in the League’s growing database of citizens’ ideas for a better region. And as with previous forums on sustainability, diversity and land use, we found many shared concerns and areas of agreement. Among the most frequently heard:

• There is a need for more public transit and easier-to-use transit.

• Participants urged more cooperative regional planning.

• There was support for walkable, dense, mixed-use development that would reduce the need for automobile travel.
