There have been a lot of good and insightful articles published about the region since our last issue of Regionally Speaking, but as we look toward the opening of the 2010 General Assembly and a year of heavy campaigning with the governor’s seat and other statewide offices in play, we particularly wanted to bring your attention to an article published this past Sunday. It drives home a few key points - increase public debate, prioritize problems and vote - all tied to The Civic League’s mission of engaging citizens in regional policy and ensuring that their views are part of the decision-making process.

The article, “Regional priorities need focus,” is part of The AJC Atlanta Project, a series of articles about critical challenges facing metro Atlanta. Some articles are narrowly focused on the City of Atlanta while others take a more regional perspective, but all are worthwhile reading.
