Neighborhood Summit
Sort of like boot camp for your neighborhood, the Neighborhood Summit is one of The Civic League’s best-known programs, drawing over 400 participants each year from neighborhood and civic associations from the across the 10-county region. Participants converge on downtown Atlanta for this inspiring, energy-filled event to learn about best practices for creating stronger, happier, better communities. Join us at the Loudermilk Center on September 24, 2011 -- onsite registration will be available at the event. General Admission, $30 or Student/Senior (55 and over), $20. We are pleased to present a fantastic selection of workshops for this year’s participants: ~ How Does Your Garden Grow: Community Gardens for Fun, Food and Fellowship
~ The Empty House Next Door: Managing the Neighborhood Impact of the National Foreclosure Crisis
~ Leadership Development for Neighborhood Associations
~ Not Just for Grown-Ups: Engaging Young People in Civic Life
~ More Money! Finding Funds for Your Neighborhood Initiatives
