As executive director of the Civic League for Regional Atlanta, Ellen Mayer works with stakeholders from the public, private, civic and nonprofit sectors to involve the people of metro Atlanta in the plans, policies and issues that cross county lines and city limits.
Previously, Ellen was vice president of Civic Strategies, Inc., a collaborative and strategic planning firm that works with local governments and civic organizations. She is a graduate of Auburn University (BA, Public Relations/Journalism) and Georgia State University (MS, Urban Policy Studies) and lives with her family in Midtown Atlanta.
Tamara Pursley

Tamara Pursley serves as program coordinator of The Civic League for Regional Atlanta. Prior to joining The Civic League, Tamara provided administrative support for the organization for 10 years, as part of her role at Futren Corporation as executive assistant to the chairman. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and has lived in the Atlanta region for over 20 years.
Tamara serves as President of the Down Syndrome Association of Atlanta’s Board of Directors. She lives in Gwinnett County with her husband and three young sons.
Lucy Soto

Lucy Soto is a freelance writer and communications consultant. Born in Medellin, Colombia, she grew up in Greenville, S.C., and graduated from the University of South Carolina's School of Journalism. She worked for the Associated Press and spent about a decade at the Atlanta Journal Constitution. She's lived in the metro region - from Cumming and Alpharetta to Norcross and Virginia Highlands - since 1993. She now lives in Atlanta with her husband and four children.
