What's Right with the Region! The Civic League will celebrate its fourth Annual Event - "What's Right with the Region!" - February 25, 2010 at the Ballroom at TWELVE, Atlantic Station (361 17th Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30363). Cocktails & Buffet (Cash Bar) -- 6:00 to 7:30 PM. Program -- 7:30 to 8:30 PM. It's an great evening of networking and a program featuring a keynote address and the presentation of annual awards. Four Regional Excellence Awards will be presented to individuals or organizations making a positive impact on the Atlanta region. The Founders' Award will also be given to an individual who has made a significant contribution of vision, leadership and action to effect positive change in the Atlanta region. We are pleased to announce that one of the country’s leading authorities on our favorite topic - civic engagement - will give the keynote address. Chris Gates is the executive director of Philanthropy for Active Civic Engagement (PACE), an organization founded to bring attention and focus to the issues of civic engagement and to encourage more members of the philanthropic community to make civic engagement a part of their funding priorities. |
